2010 Edmonds Arts Festival
On Father’s Day Weekend, over 75,000 art-lovers from the greater King and Snohomish counties and beyond will attend the popular free three-day Edmonds Arts Festival. One of the Pacific Northwest’s oldest and largest arts festivals, we offer a rich array of visual and performing arts and art events in a stunning natural setting.

Art-lovers stroll charming “streets” named after famous painters as they discover and purchase fine art and artisan crafts directly from the talented artists themselves. The Festival showcases the work of nearly 240 carefully selected artist exhibitors, offering oils, watercolors, pastels, drawings, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber arts, jewelry, glass, metal, pottery/ceramics, toys, collectibles, and furniture.

The Festival truly has something for everyone, with performing arts, children’s activities, musicians, and storytellers. A wine bar and bistro, situated with a great view of the Puget Sound, offers a respite from shopping.  A striking limited-edition Festival poster and a poster created by a student artist is specially produced to commemorate the event and will be on sale to the public, along with Festival logo clothing at the Festival Store.

The Juried Gallery offers a sweeping showcase of art by more than 450 top local and national artists. Cash awards are presented in seven categories: paintings, prints, drawings, photography, artisans’ works, sculpture, and miniatures.  All art is for sale.

An exceptional juried Student Art Exhibit unveils the captivating pure expressions of gifted young artists from kindergarten through twelfth grades.

Festival History
The Annual Edmonds Arts Festival began in 1957. The mission then, as now, was to celebrate and promote the arts with a lively and pleasurable presentation of local and national work.

The Festival is 100% volunteer-run, and supported by our generous sponsors who help make public art possible for all to enjoy. Proceeds from the Festival benefit university scholarships, educational grants to schools, community grants to arts and cultural organizations and public art installations.

As we sketch, sculpt and shape the next Edmonds Arts Festival, we are delighted to offer rewarding opportunities to sponsor  and volunteer in one of the premier arts events in the Pacific Northwest.

The town of Edmonds, Washington
It’s no secret why this festival is such a success, given our appealing location. Consistently voted “The Friendliest Town on Puget Sound” by Washingtonians, Edmonds is a quaint, charming waterfront town that is a favorite day-trip destination spot. We offer breathtaking views of the Sound and Olympic Mountains that perfectly complement the beauty of the arts we showcase. Just a 15-mile drive north of Seattle, Edmonds is far enough away from population centers to feel like a “get-away,” and close enough to attract tens of thousands of visitors and art-lovers from greater King and Snohomish counties and beyond.
