Community Support of Art Education
The Edmonds Art Festival Foundation (EAFF) is committed to the support of visual art instruction in the Edmonds School District (ESD). In addition to our scholarship program, EAFF has provided grants to teachers/schools, through the Art Instruction Grant (AIG) program, for additional art instruction in classrooms. After evaluating the number of students/schools impacted by our Art Instruction Grant program, we are working to expand our reach in the district and transitioning away from the grant model of funding. We are currently supporting visual art instruction in the ESD with two partnerships.
Art Start Northwest (ASNW) located in Graphite Art Center is hosting six "Teach the Teachers" art workshops throughout the 2024/25 school year. These workshops are subsidized by EAFF and will focus on improving art instruction in our elementary schools.
ESD Middle/High School Funding - EAFF is providing $15,000 to the ESD to assist middle and high school art teachers with needed art supplies, field trips and visiting artists not currently supported by the 2024/25 district budget.
Looking for the Art Instruction Grant application?
As we transition away from the AIG program, we realize there may be instances where support is still wanted or needed. Art Instruction Grants (AIG) will be considered for the 2024/25 school year on a first come, first serve basis and funds are limited for these requests. If you are interested in applying for these funds, please complete the AIG Transition Application.
