Gallery Artists

Galleries inside the Frances Anderson Center showcase juried art from more than 500 artists. Shown are paintings, prints, drawings, photography, digital art, sculpture, mixed media 2D and artisan works. Juried by professional artists, only the highest quality art is selected to be displayed, whether it is produced by an established artist, student, or emerging artist. Awards are given in each media category and the prize-winning pieces are acknowledged.


Paintings, Prints and Drawings

The largest gallery hosts a diverse collection of two-dimensional single and mixed media artwork in all sizes. Paintings include acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, and encaustic. Prints are produced by methods such as woodblock, linocut, or etching. Drawings in pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, and conté crayon may be on display as well.

Sculpture and Artisan Works

Sculpture may be created in any medium including clay/ceramic, glass, wood, metal, stone, and fiber/textile. Artisan Works include ceramics, furniture, glass, functional pieces, and wood. Mixed media pieces are also seen.

Photography and Digital Art

Revealing a full gamut of photographic techniques, including images that have been creatively manipulated in addition to more traditional photography. Both color and black and white photography are shown. Photographs displayed may be printed on paper and under glass, printed on canvas, or printed on metal.

Small Works Marketplace

The Small Works Marketplace is the place for buying fantastic, original regional art inside the Frances Andersen Building during the Edmonds Arts Festival. Located in Room 206, all of the art in this gallery may be taken at the time of purchase. The gallery displays Small Artisan Works that includes crafts like fiber arts, wood working, ceramics, jewelry, and glass. All are no larger than 12” square. Miniatures and Small Paintings no larger than 8×6″ are also available here. Most are priced below $225, making great gifts and offering an affordable way to collect original art.
